Cheers for CB Schools Returns May 9 to Celebrate Community and Support Local Education
Council Bluffs, IA – The Council Bluffs Schools Foundation and the Alumni & Friends Network invite the community to raise a glass in support of local education at Cheers for CB Schools, taking place Thursday, May 9 from 4:00–7:00 PM on the 100 Block in downtown Council Bluffs.
This annual, free event brings together alumni, parents, educators, and friends of the Council Bluffs Community School District for an evening of fun, connection, and purpose. Guests can enjoy live music by local favorite Fountains of Dane, games, raffles, and more—all while celebrating the power of community support for public schools.
“Cheers is a special way to wrap up our annual Community Impact Campaign, and we’re thrilled to host it during Teacher Appreciation Week,” says Bridgette Watson, Executive Director at the Council Bluffs Schools Foundation. “It’s a celebration of the incredible things happening in our schools every day and the community that rallies together to support them.”
The Cheers event marks the final week of the Foundation’s Community Impact Campaign, which launched at the Education is Everyone’s Business Luncheon in early April. The campaign aims to raise $100,000 to fund classroom grants, student enrichment opportunities, and emergency assistance for families.
This incredible milestone would not be possible without the generous support of our Community Impact Sponsors:
Cox Communications, Google, Iowa Western Community College, American National Bank, and John Dresher - American Family Insurance.
