Education is Everyone’s Business Luncheon
The Education is Everyone’s Business Luncheon highlights the partnerships between businesses, organizations, and community leaders dedicated to supporting education in Council Bluffs.
The luncheon is a time to reflect on the progress we’ve made together, and to renew our shared commitment to ensuring a brighter future for every student in our district. You will have the opportunity to hear firsthand accounts from those whose lives have been changed by the support of our community, as well as gain insight into the continued efforts of the Council Bluffs Schools Foundation to create a lasting impact.
Community Impact Award
It is our tradition to recognize a special person during the luncheon who is truly making an impact in our community with our annual Community Impact Award.
The purpose of the Community Impact Award is simple: to recognize partners of the Council Bluffs Schools who are working to improve the lives of our children and families, and create a better future for our community.
This year, the Foundation honored Jeannie Aldredge with this prestigious award.
Jeannie, a lifelong resident of Council Bluffs and proud Thomas Jefferson High School alum, has dedicated over three decades to her role as Senior Executive Assistant at HUB International. In addition to her professional success, Jeannie has been a passionate volunteer, serving on numerous local boards, including the Council Bluffs Schools Alumni Board, the Iowa Western Alumni Board, and the Council Bluffs Airport Authority, among others.
Jeannie’s heartfelt service to the community has had a lasting impact, not only in her work but also in the inspiration she provides to others, including her daughter Abby, a nurse and active community board member. Jeannie credits her late mentor, Anne Nelson, for instilling the importance of service, a value she continues to uphold every day.
