Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament Raises $17,000 for Council Bluffs Schools Foundation
On Friday, July 10, the Council Bluffs Schools Foundation Alumni & Friends Network welcomed 28 teams of alumni, local businesses, and friends of the district to the 2026 Alumni & Friends Golf Outing. The day was filled with friendly competition as teams representing Abraham Lincoln High School and Thomas Jefferson High School battled for bragging rights and the brand new tournament trophy. After the scores were tallied, Team TJ claimed the championship for the second consecutive year.
More importantly, thanks to the generosity of the event's sponsors, volunteers, and participants, this year's outing raised more than $17,000 to support the children, families, and staff of the Council Bluffs Community School District.
"We're incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this year's Alumni & Friends Golf Outing such a success," said Bridgette Watson, Executive Director of the Council Bluffs Schools Foundation. "From our sponsors and volunteers to every golfer who participated, your generosity directly supports students, families, and educators across our district. Every dollar raised helps us invest in innovative learning opportunities, provide critical resources, and ensure our schools have the support they need to help every student succeed."
The Foundation extends its heartfelt appreciation to Cox Communications, the tournament's Presenting Sponsor, for its generous support, as well as event sponsors BCDM Architects, Olsson, and Rasmussen Mechanical, and year-round Community Impact Sponsors American National Bank, John Dresher – American Family Insurance, Joe Clanton – Better Homes & Garden Real Estate, Iowa Western, InoTek, Loess Hills Landscaping, Judd Knispel – State Farm, Heartland Properties, ETI, and Omni Centre.
