Annual Grants Program
As part of its annual grantmaking program, the Council Bluffs Schools Foundation administers the following grant programs:
Classroom Grants help to fulfill our mission by providing funding to staff for projects that enhance educational experiences for students, supplement or extend the classroom experience for students, and/or support student learning.
Student Enrichment Grants are intended to supplement the classroom learning experience through field trips, cultural experiences, or participation in clubs, fine arts, or co-curricular activities.
Mini-Grants are designed to provide quick, flexible funding for classroom needs, teacher well-being, and innovative ideas, helping elevate requests that may not fit larger classroom grant categories.
Emergency Assistance Grants support teachers, counselors, and principals who are first to see some of our most vulnerable children arrive at school hungry, cold, or sick.
These grants provide solutions, such as winter coats, gloves, shoes, eye glasses, and other items that ensure our students are at school and ready to learn.

Teacher Closet
The Teacher Closet will be a resource stocked with the most-requested classroom essentials, available at no cost to any teacher across the district. The items on our Amazon Wishlist come directly from teacher input and reflect the tools they reach for most often during the year.
The closet will officially open in August 2026, and we’re starting now to fill the shelves so it’s ready from day one.
Items teachers request most often include hand-held whiteboards for small-group learning, headphones for students, fidget tools and sensory supports, and storage tubs and organizers.
These everyday supplies help create functional, inclusive, and engaging learning environments and your support ensures teachers can access them quickly and easily throughout the school year.
